Apologetics | BIB 410

*Dual credit course 

As the culminating course in our Bible program, this class seeks to prepare students to interact with their faith beyond the walls of BCS. 

  • Find rationale for belief 
  • Explore challenges to the Christian faith 
  • Engage in depth of conversation, with empathy for those who doubt 
  • Develop epistemic humility 
  • Students will read deeply, discuss cordially, and think critically about faith and reason

Biblical Interpretation | BIB 220 

1 Semester , Grade 10

Prerequisite(s): None 

Curious about discussing controversial social topics of the day, like abortion, needle-exchange programs, or transgender athletes? How might we respond graciously and winsomely to those with whom we disagree? 

  • Learn interpretation skills to understand the intrinsic truth principles of God’s word 
  • Explore ethical dilemmas in Scripture 
  • Research the history of today’s ethical issues 
  • Consider how the gospel informs and radically transforms our values and responses to dilemma 

*Class of 2028: Due to the change in the Bible sequence, you will be taking Biblical Interpretation senior year.

Biblical Worldview | BIB 110

Do you know someone who has very different beliefs than you about God, humans, or the purpose of life? Are you unsure how to engage in meaningful conversation with them? In Worldview, we will: 

  • Learn how to construct a biblical theology of creation, God, humanity, and the future 
  • Discover how to listen respectfully to opposing views and remain grounded in the biblical worldview 
  • Survey ancient and modern-day views on the origins of the universe and humanity
