Prerequisite(s): Audition, membership in additional BCS performing ensemble

The Jazz Band is a group of musicians who wish to expand and improve their musical experience. This ensemble consists of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, guitar, bass, piano, drum set, and auxiliary percussion. This group travels abroad and domestically.
- Commitments include evening concert and weekend jazz festivals.
- Auditions held in the first week of school. Rehearsals are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during zero period
- Required Outside of Class Workload: weekly practice time 150 minutes per week; mandatory attendance at all concerts and festivals
- Additional Class Expenses: Instrument, accessories and maintenance, concert attire consisting of black pants or long skirt and black shirt, black shoes
