Step into the spotlight and build confidence on stage! This performance-based course focuses on acting skills, storytelling, and working together to bring a production to life. Students learn by doing as they rehearse and perform a class show. 

Students will: 

• Develop foundational acting techniques, including expression of emotion, body movement, voice, and stage presence 
• Learn basic stage terminology, blocking, and how performers work within a staged production 
• Practice script analysis to understand character, motivation, and storytelling 
• Build collaboration skills through ensemble work and rehearsals 
• Gain performance experience in a final class production 

Students earning an “A” may be eligible to audition for the high school production with director approval. 

Attendance at all performances is required as part of the shared theatrical experience and graded performance component.
