After School Team Sports 

Grade 9-12 , Season

Prerequisite(s): GPA eligibility Length: Season 

Fee(s): $200 per sport *Sports occur after school 
Cheer uniforms: Additional $500-1000 annual fee 
*Repeatable course 
*Non-graded course (pass/fail grade) earns 0.5 credits per season 

All high school students are encouraged to join Team Sports! There are a variety of options to choose from. Teams meet after school for practice and games. Pass/Fail course and students can earn 0.5 credits per season.

Algebra 1 | MAT 110 

Full Year , Grade 7-9

Prerequisite(s): Recommendation of current math teacher for grades 7 or 8
*May be taken concurrently with Geometry 

Step into the world of Algebra 1, where problem-solving meets real-world applications and conceptual understanding. 

  • Develop algebra skills in a meaningful and retrievable way through problem-solving 
  • Explore major topics like solving equations and inequalities, linear equations, and functions 
  • Dive into systems of equations and inequalities, exponents, exponential models, and quadratic functions

Ancient and Medieval History | SOC 110 

1 Semester , Grade 9-12

Prerequisite(s): None 

Spanning from 10,000 BCE to 1450 CE, students explore the foundations of civilization and the development of political, social, economic, and cultural systems across major regions. The course emphasizes critical analysis, historical reasoning, and the ability to draw connections across time and place. 

  • Examine the foundations of civilization through case studies in Mesopotamia and Persia 
  • Analyze the political, cultural, and philosophical contributions of Greece and Rome 
  • Study the rise of Christianity and its influence on early and medieval Europe, including the Viking Age and the Crusades 
  • Analyze historical continuity and change through primary and secondary sources, with attention to perspective, language, and context 
  • Develop historical skills through active note-taking, argumentative writing, research, and thematic analysis across units
