Prerequisite(s): Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry, Biology and Chemistry 
*May be taken concurrently with AP Biology or AP Chemistry 

Get ready to see the world in a whole new way! From the motion of a car to the forces that keep a bridge standing, physics is everywhere. In this course, you’ll uncover the laws that govern the physical world and discover how they apply to everyday life. 

• Explore motion, forces, energy, and waves—understanding why a roller coaster works, how a guitar makes sound, and what keeps airplanes in the sky 
• Engage in hands-on labs and projects that make physics come alive 
• Study core topics including Motion, Forces, Energy, Momentum, Waves, and Electricity 
• Develop problem-solving skills useful for future studies in science, engineering, and technology 

Whether you’re curious about how the world works or just love hands-on science, this course will challenge and inspire you! 

This course is intended for students with a strong foundation in mathematics and science, and success requires confidence in algebra and trigonometry. Students who are not comfortable with these areas should plan to enroll in Environmental Studies to fulfill their science requirement.
