This course provides a survey of global history with emphasis on understanding how historical processes, patterns, and events inform contemporary issues. Students examine political, economic, social, and cultural developments across time while connecting past events to present-day global challenges. 

• Investigate major historical forces, including economic systems, religion, and political structures, and their impact on modern societies 
• Examine case studies such as caste in India, apartheid in South Africa, and territorial conflicts in the Middle East to understand contemporary global issues 
• Analyze historical continuity and change and the roots of modern social, political, and economic challenges 
• Develop historical thinking skills through primary and secondary source analysis, argumentative writing, and evaluation of cause and effect 
• Apply historical knowledge to contemporary global issues through analysis, discussion, and projects connecting past events to current events
